HOOTER SHOOTERS! or WEIGHT LOSS INSPIRATION DEVICE?

Well, let me say, upfront, that I DO actually feel really good wearing this DEVICE!

I purchased the Kymaro New Body Shaper. I was very excited when it arrived in the mail, yesterday!

Since I had watched the Paid Advertisement where it shows, over and over and over and over and over again how to EASILY put the DEVICE on, I decided to JUMP right into it!

Uh… did I say jump?

Well, you have to easily (per the instructions) STEP into it, and gradually work it up your body.

Did they say easily and gradually? Let me tell ‘ya – you can’t do anything BUT gradually!

I looked like I was doing a native/tribal dance while trying to easily step into this thing.
Legs pumping up and down from the knees, bending my body to and from – side to side – bobbing my head up and down – doing several jumps and….

VOILA! It was on! I go to look in the bathroom mirror and –
WHAT HAPPENED TO MY BREASTS?! THEY WERE FLATTENED TO MY CHEST! (Great sports bra idea!)
I HAD THE DARN THING ON BACKWARDS! AFTER ALL THAT EFFORT!

I wasn’t breathing heavy – basically – because I couldn’t BREATHE!

So I start to do my native/tribal dance again to get the straps off my shoulders so I can remove it…
OH NO! not all the way – just far enough down my legs to TURN IT AROUND –

Thinking I’m quite clever… not taking it totally off – to reduce the amount of fight time – pulling it back up.

OK – so more tribal/native dance maneuvers, head bobbing, huffing, puffing….
VOILA! IT’S ON!
Back to the mirror!

OH NO! MY BREASTS ARE BOTH POINTING TO THE LEFT!

*#@!#@!! I hadn’t turned the DEVICE totally around for it to face forward!

OK – 3rd times a charm! Back down it goes – tribal/native dance number three….
I WAS REALLY STARTING TO GET THOSE DANCE STEPS DOWN! I SHOULD TRY OUT FOR – “SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE?” AND JUST BRING THIS BODY SHAPING DEVICE ON STAGE WITH ME! I’D SURELY WIN!

OK – so, back down to the ‘turn the device around point’ – half way down my legs…. THIS time, I think I have it POINTING FORWARD – I hope….

More tribal/native dance, huff puff, nearly broke a thumb joint pulling those straps up over my shoulder and …
VOILA! IT WAS ON! BREASTS POINTING FORWARD – BELLY FAT ALL TUCKED IN – EYES WIDE OPEN – STARING AT THIS TUCKED IN BLOB OF A BODY IN THE MIRROR.

But! I must say! I FELT REALLY GOOD! I actually wore it to watch an episode of NCIS –
Looking very slenderized, sitting in my TV chair – eating…
CARROTS
GRAPES
YOGURT
NUTS
BERRIES…. I MUST SAY – THIS IS ACTUALLY A WEIGHT LOSS DEVICE!

After that workout – it inspired me to eat healthy!

Stuck in a rut? Have writer’s block? Spending too much time in front of the television watching all the NCIS, MONK and Law and Order Marathons? If that’s not you, it’s been me!

Thankfully, I learned about the spiritual practice of ‘clearing out one’s external physical clutter’ in order to clear out the emotional/inner-stress clutter!

This past week, I felt motivated to:

1) dig out a bush in front of my condo;
2) dig a trench, buy an extension to my downspout, lay down some nice marble chips, etc.
3) all to build up some dirt around my patio and neighbor’s condo to redirect the water from our terrential rains!
Oh – and treated myself to a beautiful, sun-requesting purple flowering bush to uplift my mood and the view out the door from my living room! Ahhhh!

4) Then, onto the inside of the house… cleaning old clothing out of the closet that no longer “SUITED” me in my new career/personal business;
5) Donating the clothing to the Salvation Army after writing up my itemized list for my year end tax donations;
6) Collecting old gold jewelry to take to a local jeweler to take advantage of all the gold buyouts;
7) fixing a closet door (DID IT MYSELF, YES I DID!) that had come off its hinges;
8) Got my business filing done, vacuumed, etc etc….

and, AHHHHHHHHHH! I’m breathing easy…. as well as – I GOT MOTIVATED TO CLEAN UP MY WEBSITE AND WRITE IN MY BLOG!

So, if you’re in a rut (I know you’ve heard this before) – but let me inspire you – get those weeds pulled, clean up that clutter, get yourself organized and open up your mind to creativity! EVEN my three cats… Buddy, Fonzie and Kitty felt the EXCITEMENT of it all by having NEW SPACE to explore in and out of the closet space! They’re wondering why I’m now able to close the one set of closet doors, imagine that!

QUILL PEN FEATHER CLOUD and a RAINBOW, INSIDE!            July 9, 2009

 Well – once again, Living Life in Amazement! -

Another Ha Ha Helen moment…

 I have been in a slump, not necessarily bad, just slowing down and taking it easy – but finding it difficult to ‘get back in the groove’ of my LAFOLOT business. 

 I finally mustered some energy, this morning, and started to clean up my filing, business papers, etc. in my home office.  I actually lost track of the time (which was a good thing!) – being so ‘in’ to the filing cleanup. 

 I had intended to go to my favorite Thai restaurant for lunch (because it’s cheaper at that time!) and I saw my computer clock noted 1:15pm!  The place only serves lunch till 2pm.

 So I quickly headed out of my condo towards my car – only to be stopped by:

 A wispy cloud in the shape of a QUILL PEN!  Smack dab in between bunches of cumulous (big puffy) clouds!

 I had just opened my car door, when I caught site of the Quill Pen-shaped cloud – but I had to make a decision.  Get in the car and head out for the food I love – or stay and enjoy the cloud and risk missing the food.   [Being the type of person who uses food to deal with emotions, this is always an important decision for me - I opted to stay and enjoy the cloud...HOORAY!]

 I thought to myself – I’ve been putting off starting my next book – ‘Ha Ha Helen Moments’ – a compilation of all my fun, philosophical, poignant stories…. WELL!  THERE, SMACK DAB IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SKY ABOVE MY CAR WAS THE MESSAGE!  A Quill Pen Cloud!   “Get to it and start writing!” was the message I was getting and smiling about!

Well!  Am I glad I didn’t just jump into my car….  as I looked at the Quill Pen shaped cloud – I thought I saw some ‘color’ in the middle of the feathery shape….  I put on my driving glasses to aid with the distance viewing and sure enough… 

THERE WAS A MINI RAINBOW in the middle of the feathery cloud!  I kept staring and thinking…. what a gem!  What a joy!  To have been in this spot, at this moment, to be given the gift of this beautiful feathery cloud with a rainbow inside! 

 As I stood and watched… the rainbow grew larger and more defined… so beautiful!

All I could think was – I wish more people were out here to see this!

I didn’t want to take my eyes away for fear of missing the moment or have the cloud dissipate. 

 Finally, a neighbor appeared across the parking area… when I pointed it out – she said – ‘Oh yeah… that’s really different.’, and went back in her house!  

 Then, another neighbor came out of her townhouse, across the parking lot – I pointed it out the spectacular show in the sky – she saw the cloud with the beautiful rainbow inside  – said it was really different and beautiful, and went back into her house!

 I thought – geez – if this were a car wreck on the highway – traffic would be stopped and the whole neighborhood would be out, but ….

 a beautiful, quill pen, feathery cloud with a beautifully forming rainbow of colors forming within in it – doesn’t hold people’s attention?

 So – I just stood there and enjoyed it – the feathery cloud slowly moved across the sky – slowly changing its feathery shape – the rainbow of colors getting darker and more wide spread – but staying within the shape of the feathery cloud.

 I just stood there – enjoying it – the lunch, food and other things – not mattering…

 As the shape expanded more and the rainbow colors broadened – I had been hearing the cooing of Mourning Doves nearby – it fit the moment.

 Then… there it was -  a single feather – falling from the sky – slowly – the light wind gently lowering it over and towards me….

 I smiled. The quill pen cloud with its rainbow would have been enough, but I guess God, the Universe, Spirit, felt the need to place an exclamation point on the moment; and some willing bird had shed a single feather, while flying past my view of the cloud.

 The feather slowly, gently made its way to the ground – 10 feet from me.

I picked up the feather, turned, and saw the cloud and rainbow had just about dissipated.  I took the feather into my home and then left – with plenty of time to get to my favorite restaurant for lunch.

 So – being awakened from my slump by the Feather Quill Pen cloud and actual falling feather (reminder gift)…  I honored the message and wrote this little Ha Ha Helen moment to share -

 May you be reminded of all the simple, special gifts that come by us each day – and sometimes get over looked.
