LAFOLOT

I am told over and over again, that what I do is a ministry. I tell people I’m only ‘teaching what I need to learn’ as well as ‘there’s a lot more MEAT to my MOTTO than MEETS the eye! I also note that I choose to present my intention to Motivate and Inspire others through speaking, singing, writing and laughter wellness in a non-religious, non political method.

Hence, on May 31, 2008 – I was officially ordained by UNIVERSAL MINISTRIES choosing to take the title of Minister of Peace. I chose that title because that is the value on which I need to focus, practice and learn. I am a non-denominational minister who embraces all faiths where the intention is choosing love, personal respect and tolerance of others.

While I do have some higher (college) education, I feel ‘The School of Life’ has been my greatest teacher, as well as those I have encountered along the way to assist me in my life lessons. At age 49, I had an Ah! Ha! moment and realized the gift and sacredness of my life vs. the victim perception I previously had.
As a result, I developed my talked called: ‘Seeing With New Eyes!’

Ten years before that, I had the inspiration to write the book: ‘Growing Up With the Embarrassment of Prejudice’ – but it took me 10 years to write it in order to be inspired by the song ‘Life is a Song’ Fred Ahlert – in order to approach it from a positive perspective and not one of blame. That is why it came to be titled: ‘Life is a Song in the Key of Love’ – discovering how to Appreciate Life in ALL its forms of expression.

I went from FEARING to FACING and FEELING to HEALING. My previous fear of insects turned into a total appreciation, now BEing allowed feel a soft, fuzzy Bee walking on me or Buzzing nearby. To thanking a spider who has taken residence in my home, to help clear out other pests. I now see everything has a purpose.

I choose to FREELY allow others to READ my motivational/inspirational writing in my blog.

I choose to FREELY share how I deal with everyday life challenges and turn them around to a positive with my: HA HA HELEN’S SMILE CAMPAIGN and DRIVE YOURSELF HAPPY CAMPAIGN as well as my HA HA HELEN’S TIME TO LAUGH system of daily triggers to help me change my focus to the positive with healthy thought, laughter and activity.

I choose to not run FLASHY ADs on my site – to allow people to come to a Bright, Colorful, Calm site filled with helpful, healthy living information.

I share my ups and downs and personal challenges with approaching life, as well as my personal discoveries and wonderment in my Blog.

While I established myself as a sole-proprietor business, with a retail license. I ALSO FREELY give of my time, talents and treasures to the community through: Laughter Wellness Programs and Motivational Inspirational Speaking, Singing and Writing.

I have activated my LAFOLOT MINISTRY to help pay for my costs when I FREELY give my services to non-profit organizations. My intention is to keep these monies solely for the purpose of providing more of my services to nursing homes, senior centers, non-profit agencies, etc. As it is now, I have to ask these people to find some way to pay me, for my gas, travel, to make my handout copies for me, etc.

Any donations I receive for my LAFOLOT Ministries can be made through the link on the lower left of my site. This gives the ‘giver’ a receipt for tax purposes. This also allows me to officially document any and all donations for accounting purposes. These monies will be kept separate and used for LAFOLOT Ministries.

I have a limited retirement income which I use for my own, daily living expenses, utilities, etc.

Thanks to all who have encouraged me to acknowledge my LAFOLOT Ministries – especially ‘Santa and Mrs. Clause’ a.k.a. the lovely couple I ran into at a local restaurant parking lot letting me know that – this would be a better way for me to share my laughter wellness to seniors and those in need!
